Julian “Jumpin” Perez is one of the most well-known and respected DJ in the Chicago land area, with a career spanning four decades as a legendary Chicago DJ, producer, and entertainer. He has 25 years of on-air radio experience, including time at Chicago’s B96, 104.3 Jams, KISS FM, WGCI and WBMX. He has also been involved in youth development and mentoring throughout the Chicago area and founded the Julian Jumpin Perez Foundation which provides aid and support to hundreds of families in need.
In addition to his work as a DJ and community leader, Julian is an accomplished entrepreneur with experience owning and managing multiple retail stores, a restaurant, nightclubs, and a mortgage and real estate company. He has created hundreds of jobs and has been recognized for his achievements, including having a street named after him in Chicago's Belmont/Cragin neighborhood.
Julian is a proud father of three and a mentor to many. He recently retired from radio to focus on serving the community and has announced his candidacy for Alderman of the 26th Ward of Chicago. With his extensive experience in community development, youth mentoring, and business, Julian is well-qualified to serve as Alderman and bring positive change to the ward.
